Sometimes the light beats you. I was out on a walk on a grey day at sunset in the New Forest. I was looking for a kind of abstract woodland shot conveying the complexity and confusion of the woodland, with a bit of Blair Witch ambiance thrown in. I didn’t get any good shots. As the sun was going down it appeared below the clouds and the below is the amazing light that we witnessed. It lasted for about maybe 90 seconds and I knew I wanted to capture it but didn’t know how. I mean, technically I did, but how to represent the moment, capture it, frame and compose it.
This is what I got. Very little done to this, bit of colour balance as was blueish in the shadows. This is what happened. a bad photo made interesting by the colours. Imagine if someone took a good photo? Whoa!
